NIRP Uganda continues to operate a microloan and small business management-training program. Helping poor and marginalized women groups to start and/or expand their Small businesses. Bridging the gap between bureaucratic Micro finance institution and banks for the poor and illiterate rural women, this project strengthens

NIRP’s mission to improve the living and economic conditions of low-income communities affected by HIV and AIDS through giving out micro loans to women through their self help groups, knowledge sharing, and trainings.

NIRP continues to provide micro lending and training to small-business owners and self help groups previously established as self help groups and saving community level associations.  Each individual has a unique business idea that can support her children and family, a micro loan will make the individual self reliant in the near future. Supporting beneficiaries of microloans through the creation of community associations, to technical assistance through sensitization meetings and training programs for women.

NIRP Uganda is happy to report that since the start of the project, NIRP has led financial trainings with 60 women.NIRP has provided a total of 10 microloans. Many more women want to benefit from this program though we are still limited by resources.

Although the impact of the micro loans also extends to the families of the beneficiaries who benefit from the increased income and access to healthcare, education, and basic necessities. Not only will this program allow communities access to low-interest credit, it will also provide NIRP with the resources to lead trainings on financial education and business administration, deepening the overall impact of the micro loans program.

Through Micro Loan program, capacity building and knowledge sharing, sustainable development is as achievable as it is transformative. Join us to provide more vulnerable women micro loans.
