    About this project

    J. Vogel from InterEuropean Human Aid Association Germany e. V. is responsible for this project
The world over there are millions of people who have become refugees – they are running from war, terror, suppression. Their path is covered with impossible hurdles: Life-threatening routs over land and water, closed borders and inhumane conditions in temporary camps.

Since the IHA was founded in September 2015 we were able to observe this often brutal reality ourselves. The situation in the camps is inhumane and unimaginable. The only relief and hope for the refugees is the exemplary commitment of NGOs and volunteers.

In Idomeni, Greece, we were able to open the ‘Idomeni Cultural Centre’ in April 2016. Every day it offers a space for education for the children, language classes for all ages, music and also trauma counselling. You can find more information on the ‘Idomeni Cultural Centre’ here: https://www.facebook.com/Idomeni-Cultural-Center-1302471973114551. The need in Idomeni is still tremendous.

However, Idomeni is not the only camp where help is desperately needed. On a daily basis new hotspots develop, especially along the Balkan corridor. Refugees are stuck in the same place for month and they are in dire need for everything, support, security, distraction and privacy.

Based on our experiences and in cooperation with ‘Guarantee on Tomorrow’ " (https://www.facebook.com/guaranteeontomorrow) and ‘morethanshelters e.V.’ (https://www.facebook.com/morethanshelters) we plan to establish flexible places of retreat where they are needed most. These can be uses as schools, mobile clinics and refuges for mother and infants. We want to continue to provide rapid aid at the hotspots.

You can find the construction plans for the Emergency-Tents of Guarantee on Tomorrow here: http://www.guarantee-on-tomorrow.at/aktuelle-aktionen.

In order to make this happen, we need your help, RIGHT NOW – please donate for further tents.

Latest Updates, you will find on Twitter, just follow https://twitter.com/iha_help.

We will keep you informed about their explicit use as soon as we have determined which camp(s) needs them most right now. All of this is dependent on the ongoing political decisions and developments in Europe. This is also who Idomeni became a hotspot.

    Thank you.
