Container on its way to Zanzibar

A big Thank you to the bustling helpers in Lauchhammer. Last weekend they helped to load the container. Especially we want to thank Viola W. and Holger E. Over months they have collected, recorded and packed a lot of big and little things. Teaching equipment that is out of  use since the school in Lauchhammer has been winded up. On April, second the container could be loaded and is now on his way to Zanzibar, via Hamburg.

Thanks also to Michaela, who has translated the packing lists into English. It was quite tricky sometimes to find the correct technical terms for things that are more or less unfamiliar.

In June the container shall arrive in Zanzibar. Before that, all windows in Bambi should be mounted and make the school a safe place. News from Bambi that we received today, tell us about 3 more windows that have been mounted. Please see the new pics in the gallery. Included is also a picture of the teachers house that has partly been built. Leo will meet with the village development committee and will discuss how much money is needed to complete the building.
