In Fuerteventura still a lot of unwanted dogs live on the street, getting killed by cars, poisoned or struggle to survive with serious disease.
Fuerteventura Dog Rescue is an organisation that helps the abandoned and often abused stray dogs, support them with medical help, food and rehome them to reduce the number of stray dogs in Fuerteventura. They are made up of volunteers who in their free time clean cages, transfer dogs, contact with foster homes and adopters and collaborate with the La Oliva dog shelter.
They are 100% based on monetary and material donations to keep the business running.
In 2015 they could help and rehome 162 dogs to a beloved family.
