The volunteer agency „Zentrum für gute Taten e. V. - Freiwilligenagentur Wuppertal“ - is financed exclusively by donations. The association employs around 30 volunteers who place people in charitable organizations and projects. Volunteering is the backbone of democracy - this is more relevant and important than ever!
The “Zentrum für gute Taten” has been promoting volunteering for all generations in Wuppertal since 2013. With our volunteer agency, we advise, support and qualify people who want to get involved in the community.
What do we use your donations for?
- to maintain our friendly store, where we advise and place people who are looking for volunteer work on an individual and tailor-made basis
- to cover the costs of the online volunteer search, which has been successfully launched in 2024, and the newly established video advice service, which is particularly useful for working people who are interested in volunteering
- for campaigns and assistance in dealing with current crises such as the pandemic or the war in Ukraine
- for our projects, such as the Social Days: together with the companies, we plan how employees can use their knowledge and manpower for a social project in a charitable organization on one day instead of working at the company as usual
- for our public relations work, which makes volunteering in Wuppertal visible, e.g. with the annual “This is how volunteering works in Wuppertal” fair, which we organize and run.
All of the above tasks are carried out by the team at “Zentrum für gute Taten” a voluntary basis. There are no personnel costs. But even in the digital age, nothing works without a “home”: store rent, electricity, heat, water. Office supplies, hardware and software, telecommunications, database, advertising materials...
So we need every euro!
