The funding of DoorstepDignity goes back to a report of Henrik Neumann about the situation in Subotica, Serbia in summer - however our concern is up to date like never before:
The humanitarian situation of the refugees on the Balkan-Route is shocking, especially the report of Alena Jabarine about the "camp" Brezice[2] last year showed how terrible the conditions are.
At the moment the situation isn't better: Since all borders on the Route are closed, the situation in Greece - espacially in Idomeni - is horrible.
We want to do our part to reduce the harm of the refugees, but we need your help to achieve something.
Our goal: Best-we-can-do support for the refugees on their journey to let them flee in dignity.
To reach this goal we collect in-kind donations (winter clothes, sanitary products, tents, sleeping bags etc.) around the City of Ingolstadt, Bavaria. However collecting goods is not enough when everything is missing - we also need money.
We have to pay for the transport (car rent, gas and so on) and we want to buy groceries and other products depending on the needs at the destination (it makes no sense to carry them all the way).
