Dear fellow people
Around the world, countless people are suffering from hunger, thirst, disease, cold, persecution, expulsion, war and terror. Everybody feels the urge to help but most of us have no idea how to help.Currently, there is one of the greatest humanitarian disasters happening before our eyes. Because the refugee crisis has arrived in our immediate vicinity, this leaves some ways for us to help.
We are an eight-person team of dedicated young people, who will support the needy locally and visit them in mid-December. We work together with a nonprofit organization, which for some time has volunteers in action.
Our plan: During the winter months we want to prepare hot soups and drinks for the refugees on the run from a mobile kitchen. For this project, we need 2 vans of 3,5 tonnes each and 2 caravans which serve us as a retreat. In addition, we gather warm winter clothing (jackets, socks, long underwear, sleeping bags, hats, scarves, blankets, etc.) and common hygiene products in the coming weeks. These items will be collected by us, sorted and packed and then transported via the existing help organization "Ceriba" to the crisis areas.
How you can help: For an indefinite period, we collect warm winter clothes at Bahnhofstrasse 20 in 8965 Berikon. In order to be able to finance the two pick-up trucks and additional food later, we rely on your donations. This can be done by crediting our club account directly.
