Angels for Children want to build new classrooms for physics and chemistry lessons, to improve qualifications for the students, to attend Technical Schools. We are a non-profit foundation and support three schools near Vientiane, since 2003.

We - this is the foundation Angels for Children - are supporting schools in Laos since 2003. All started from a shoestring, by renovating a primary school in Ban Sikeud, a small village 15km outside the capital Vientiane. By the time, our tasks got bigger and more various, meanwhile we are supporting, besides the school in Ban Sikeud, another primary school and a secondary school in Ban Phanheng, the neighbouring village, with around 1600 pupils at all. All schools were completly renovated and equipped with new furniture, we also provide basic health care and purchase the school materials for all students. Allthough the school is supported by a private foundation, it still remains as a public school, the parents don't need to pay for school fees, but childrens get a better education. All of this was only possible because of donations.
Laos is a country with a rapid growing economy, but there is a more and more growing lack on skilled workers, who often have to be recruited from foreign countries. Technical schools, like the Lao German Technical School in Vientiane offer a qualitative Vocational Training in the fields of mechanics, electrics and engineering, fields with very good career outlooks for graduates. Condtitions for attending this school are physics and chemistry lessons in the secondary school, which we could not yet offer, though to a lack of space and equipment. Therefore we want to expand parts of the gym in the secondary school, to build classrooms for physics and chemistry lessons and equip them with the necessary materials. Parts of the equipment already had been purchased second hand, now it's up to purchase the necessary money for construction works and the rest of the material!
