Welcome – integration through sports

Refugees lost all. Home, property, and all too often also friends and family members. Once arrived in Germany, sometimes they face long asylum procedures.

We want to return them some dignified daily life. Sports offer the unique chance to unite people of different origins and language, to reduce prejudices and to find new friends. As a side effect, language skills are improved. On the way towards integration sports can be an important step, and here we want to start. We need to demand integration, but also encourage integration.

Being the 2nd largest sports association in Neumarkt district (close to Nuremberg), we want to offer our help, and hopefully other sports associations will follow our example.

What are we doing?

We want to enable people who found shelter here with us to forget their worries for a while.
We want to connect people and reduce prejudices. We want to help to create a dignified new life.

Singe 2015 we offered:

- free of charge use of our sports Programmes
- free admission to sports events
- a  ball sports Group for refugees and locals, 2015 - 2018 organized by our volleyball team 
- a total of 30 kids and adults in other sports, 2015 - 2018
- since April 2002: volleyball for Ukrainian refugees 

We also assist in support for acquisition of sports wear & equipments

More ideas to come. We are open to collaboration with other local projects.

We mainly use existing resources. But realization of those projects will also need small budgets regularly. For instance to buy some sports equipment, help to get sports wear, travel expenses and else.

We will appreciate every donation, no matter if small or a bit bigger. Help us helping!
