Many children are oppressed yet they are talented and these talents could be used to help them. Therefore Skyte-Uganda has come up to uplift children in slums of Kampala using their talents to give them better education and support in their homes.

Many children in Uganda face various problems in their localities such as poverty, defilement, child labour, family breakups, school dropout, lack of school fees, others are born with HIV/AIDS, kidnappings, stigmatisation, political instabilities and many others. These problems have led to the increased number of homeless children and street children.
Skyte-Uganda is a local project that was formed early this year(2015) to search for talents among the poor children whereby such children can peacefully use these talents to fight for their rights, over come poverty and bring peace and unity to their communities.
This could solve some of the problems that lead children to go to streets.

We have so far registered 20 children between 8 and 15 years, from poor families in the slums of Kampala, and among them, we have made a football team which we have named "Shalom Knights".
We have also formed a music band still under the same name,where by this name has been got from the project name Skyte-Uganda.
Some of the children are talented in both football and music and therefore they are in both groups.
We hope to expand and form other groups for all other talents like basket ball, volleyball, art and craft, fashion and design etc
We shall also give the children access to computer knowledge to help them survive in this computerized generation, as many children in Uganda are still backward as far as computer knowledge is concerned.
They shall all be ready to educate and animate our communities mainly to promote peace and unity and to prevent poverty through their talents such as Music, Sports, Art n Craft, fashion n design, and so many others.
People shall learn to respect the children if at all children are active in their communities. Through these talents, the children's lives shall change for good.
They will raise money to support their families and to give them better education and basic needs.
This money shall be raised through music concerts and festivals, sports competitions, art auctions and exhibitions, to mention but a few.
But as per now, these children need your help to put both of their feet on the ground.
All kinds of support is welcome, you can donate whatever you can. 5-10-20-100Euros and so on. All donations shall go towards buying the necessities like music instruments e.g guitars, pianos, drum kits,violins, dance costumes etc, sports equipment e.g balls, jerseys, boots etc.
We shall also need coaches who will be paid wages each day they come to train our children, this is for all sectors, music, sports etc.
We welcome any volunteer who is able to train our children in any game, sport or music. They would be very happy and they are very friendly.
