About this project
The Himalaya region needs long-term support for the (re)building of earthquake-proof buildings. Engineers without Borders Germany is cooperating with the local organization MinErgy to investigate possibilities for the rebuilding of the community, water and electricity supply. MinErgy is a local organization working constantly since the earthquake to provide people with free statically reports under the slogan “HELPING YOUR SAFETY AT HOME”. In Addition to that MinErgy is offering free engineering workshops for locals in and around Kathmandu as well as construction material and emergency assistance.
Together with MinErgy and local authorities Engineers without Borders is rebuilding infrastructure in Nepal.
A team of experts is now in Nepal working with MinErgy to concretize the cooperative and take first steps in the rebuilding of the communities in the Kathmandu valley. You’ll find news on the ongoing process in our blog.
