Witnessing constantly increasing fanaticism and intolerance, we find more and more people victims of violence and expulsion.
We aim to root this problem out at its very beginning.
Knowledge and education are the keystones of tolerance while at the same time people without education find themselves without the ability to get information and acquire knowledge. These uneducated people are easily lured and prone to simply believe much of what is being told them by fanatics.
In Pakistans „Internal Displaced Camps“ (IDC), in the border-region to Afghanistan, many people are living outside society and any sort of infrastructure, medical supply, administration - let alone school.
For this very reason, that is exactly where „PISE“ has aimed at its work.
Since 2012, highly committed Pakistani students have ‚declared war‘ on this deplorable state of affairs. They established a student body NGO in year 2012, its name is Pakistan Innovative Summit for Education (PISE). PISE since its inception is on a path to tackle the challenges that prevent access to education.
Some of our Major projects include:
Conducting career counselling sessions; PISE has conducted over 10 session in schools located in the remote and under developed areas of Pakistan.
Conducting youth empowerment camps; PISE in year 2014 launched its Gulmit Innovation Summit, in the rural area of Gulmit, Gilgit-Baltistan (Pakistan).
Establishing mobile libraries; PISE has established a mobile library in Khyberpakhtoonkha,Pakistan, where schools or formal learning institutions are absent.
Our goals are:
• To make education accessible to every child especially the ones belonging to poor sections of the society.
• To spread the awareness among the citizens that access to basic education is the right of each and every individual.
• To enhance the creativity of students by conducting brainstorming sessions.
• To engage youth in healthy activities by enhancing a sense of volunteerism among them.
• To introduce a practical approach in our educational system in order to improve the technical skills of the students and to help them excel well in their lives.
