    About this project

    S. David from Serve And Share Association (SASA) is responsible for this project
SASA Academy has been running a school in the high mountains of Tehri Garhwal where literacy rate is less than 30% and above all the quality education is not available around in the cost which families around could afford.
SASA Academy school gives an opportunity to the children of poor families in that area to come up in life along with better families in Equal levels. Since this is one of our motto, it stops us to expect high fees from such families and thus we look for sponsorship towards the cost of Administration and Infrastructure.
In past few years seeing to the results of children who have gone out after studying in SASA Academy, the poor parents and community around has been encouraged towards having their children study in SASA Academy, but as we lack enough infrastructure, it has been always a challenge to get someway out to help these Needy Children and their families.
However some of our children are Sponsored by Individuals and thus have an opportunity to Educate themselves in SASA, but nearly 70 % of children study on subsidized fee and many more want to avail the opportunity but we lack infrastructure for it.
In past years some of our sponsors helped us build several classrooms, toilets, Kitchen etc. but a TIN SHED which our Volunteers had build nearly 10 years ago is not in a condition to accommodate children anymore. The wood is eaten away by termite or is spoilt with rain and the tins are too old and are having cracks.
This hall cum classroom was used for multipurpose use in the school and thus is an URGENT NEED to be built in a form of Concrete structure this time.

Apart from the Cost of Building :-
We also need the following in School.

30 set of Table and Chairs 2000x30 = Rs. 60000(850 Euros)

    4 Black Boards 3000X 4 = Rs. 12,000(170 Euros)

    Teacher Table & Chair 7000X2 = Rs. 14,000( 200 Euros)

With more poor parents interested towards qualitiy education and equal opportinities of their children on subsidized fees in SASA Academy School, it is difficult for us to give them a chance as we are lacking enough classrooms. Also in existing tin shed build by help volunteere, it is difficult to accommodate children as it is old and breaking and not fit for children to sit anymore and thus needs to beuilt as a conrete structure.
    Proposed solution
Building of more classrooms or hall below and on top of Ground Floor after replacing Temporary structure will give chance to the existing and many more poor community children to have quality education in SASA Academy aand at the same time feel the sense of EQUALITY & SAFETY in their lives which sometimes they miss in community schools around where children are diffirentiated because of their castes and creed at times.
We have already raised nearly 20% of the cost from the personal donors and community in cash and kind.
