Interplast Germany e.V. - Charme and Charity
A project from Interplast Germany e.V. - Charme and Charity in 3 Pagoden Pass, Thailand
The lives of 100 children hang in the balance: refugee children of the Meo Lao Chan minority. If we manage to raise € 100 per child through donations, we will be able to ensure that these children are healed and survive the post-operative stage!

    About this project

    W. Tholl from Interplast Germany e.V. - Charme and Charity is responsible for this project
    Working tirelessly:

Dr. Nuri Alamuti, his assistant Desiree and the team from Interplast have just returned from India, where they succeeded in saving the lives of 115 children by operating on them in conditions that were in some cases inhuman. Children who would otherwise have had not the slightest chance of being healed, having suffered burns and mutilations of all kinds.

It is difficult for us to grasp the misery and conditions that prevail in these regions. Here is a quote, an original text message from Dr. Alamuti: "...We have been operating here for 10 hours now, with torches and rats in the operating theatre..."

But - they succeeded! And Dr. Ruth Alamuti once again gave up her time to co-ordinate and monitor all of the measures required to save the patients. We are also proud that she was able to turn to our donations as patron of Charme & Charity (www.charmeandcharity.de).

Because this was the goal: €100 was needed per child to secure the survival of each child in the post-operative stage: 115 children * €100 = €11,500. And a cheque for this amount was handed over at the end of our most recent Charme & Charity event!

But this was not the end - once again, the lives of 100 children hang in the balance: refugee children of the Meo Lao Chan minority. The camp is in the vicinity of the 3 Pagodas Pass, Dr. Alamuti will be required to operate in the no man's land between Thailand and Burma.

Parents will travel to the clinic with their children on foot from Burma. They are neither Thai nor Burmese - and as such have no rights. No-one cares about them, they have no medical care whatsoever. But they have the medical team from Interplast - and us. We are their last hope!

If we manage to raise € 100 per child through donations (100 Kinder x € 100 = € 10,000), then we will be able to ensure that these children are healed and survive the post-operative stage!

Is that not worthy of a donation?

Because as Bertha von Suttner put it so succinctly: after "to love", "to help" is the greatest verb in the world.

We are therefore grateful for your support, be it large or small. Thank you for this.
Because EVERY euro counts, whether it is € 5, € 50 or € 100, every donation is very welcome!
