Picnic for more than 150 children of a boarding school in Kathmandu

We would like to organise a huge picnic for all children of Snowland Ranag School, a boarding school for underpriviledged children in Kathmandu.
What is special about this project is that we are giving all students and teachers the opportunity to spend time together outside the boarding school. The last time all students went together for an excursion had been already more than 3 years ago.
Similar to the last picnic in October 2011 – which by then was organised by IGWR-Nepal – our plan is to leave from school after breakfast. With 4 rented busses we are planning to take all children to the Tribhuvan Park (approximately 25km from Kathmandu-City) where they can enjoy and play the whole day. Over there we will provide them a special lunch treat. In the late afternoon we will return back to school.
A picnic in a huge park does not only bring joy and happiness to the children of Snowland Ranag School, but it is also a great change to their daily life at this boarding school and a wonderful change to Kathmandu. Those of you who had already been to Kathmandu do know that within this city there are not many park areas to relax.
We need your support to be able to organise this picnic.
We are calculating with around 805€ (100,000 NPR) for the picnic.
- 4 busses for approximately 180 people: ~320€ (40,000 NPR)
– Breakfast, lunch and cold drinks: ~435€ (54,000 NPR)
– Others/buffer: ~50€ (6,000 NPR)
