Rigul Trust is a UK registered charity whose objectives are:
The relief of poverty and financial hardship, the advancement of education, the advancement of religion, the relief of sickness, the preservation and protection of good health, in particular but not exclusively in Rigul, Kham, Tibet.
RIGUL TRUST is helping Ringu Tulku Rinpoche in his endeavours to improve the living conditions in Rigul, Tibet. Specifically this means funding the running costs of the clinic, the salaries of the doctor, the nurse, the doctor's assistant's training at medical school, and the school for the children, with two free hot meals a day for every child, the salaries of the teachers, the cooks and the text books, and other projects aimed at sustainable economic and social development of the community as funds become available.
The community of Rigul, Kham, Tibet, is the birthplace of Ringu Tulku Rinpoche and the surrounding areas lie in a very remote area on the high altitude Tibetan plateau at 12,795 feet.
Here the folk have little access to running water, toilets, gas or solar heating.
The nearest land-line phone is 4 hours away (there is sometimes access to mobile phones); the nearest town is 8 hours away; the nearest hospital is several days away; the river in the valley used to be the only source of water for all the villager’s needs until Rigul Trust was able to help with piped water to a village tap and new sanitation with a toilet block.

In the Summer of 2015 C.A.N is planing to show you in a film the progress the projects have made through our collective support.
Everybody at Rigul Trust is working completely voluntarily so 100% of your contribution will go to the project. Your contribution, no matter how small or big, is highly apreciated.
Ringu Tulku Rinpoche is a personal teacher of C.A.N filmmaker, Tom, and his teachings of COMPASSION IN ACTION have been largely influencial to the work of C.A.N.
So we are especially grateful to be able to support this project.
