Mimi's story....

March 24 - Dog of whom we were notified that lies in front of the building and is not able to walk is temporarily cared for.

It is a female, medium sized, and judging by the hair, her nature and nourishment, she could be someone’s, but she is not micro-chipped. We named her Mimi. She also eats only cooked food and walks only with a harness.

She has a tick fever - babesiosis and a not-so-bad dislocation of a rear joint. She is currently undergoing treatment.

March 25 - We thought we have lost her. Her temperature dropped and we tried to warm her with everything possible. We put a dog jacket on her, placed her next to the stove and even warmed her with a hair drier. She finally gained her temperature back and felt well enough to drink and eat. The fight is still not over.

The vet comes every day to check up on her and give her a therapy.

As you know shelter Alex has the ban on accepting more dogs, and in addition to 500 that are already in the shelter it is impossible to come out and meet each call we receive. We do our best, but only if we have your support and help.
