    About this project

    H. Wegener from Support Malawi Heidelberg e.V. is responsible for this project
Football is played in the same way everywhere in the world - but it is not equally easy everywhere.

In Malawi, children mostly play barefoot, on hard earth pitches.
Even in competitive matches, some have boots and some are barefoot.
At the end of a game the teams swap shirts, but not everyone has a shirt.
All players give their all - but they can't all afford a pair of boots of their own.

Although in Malawi a pair of football boots costs about €40, which is less than in Europe, they are still much more expensive compared to the average income.

We would like to ensure that football games are won by the best team, not the one with boots.
With your donation, you can help to achieve that for young Malawians, girls as well boys.
