    About this project

    J. Wagner from Schulverein d. Heidberg Schule Hamburg Langenhorn is responsible for this project
25 students (age 13) from Hamburg in Germany want to go to York and Bradford in England in March 2016. They want to visit their penfriends and of course practice their English.
The students are often unmotivated in English lessons and some of them have a hard time learning the language. A trip to England would boost their motivation as well as broaden their minds culturally.

Many of these children come from families who can not afford costly class trips or even private vacations. That is why the students are presently working hard to earn the money themselves. They are selling waffles and are going to fleamarkets to sell their old toys. It is important for them to learn that their efforts will bring results and that they can make a difference in their own lives. This project will prove to them that if they work hard, they can reach their goals.

The group of students consists of many different personalities, some of the students have learning disabilities, others come from low income families who can't afford vacations or even visits to the theatre or other cultural events. Especially for these children, an experience like this can be extremely encouraging!
The amount of money the students will earn won't be enough to cover all the costs. Therefore it would be great, if you could help and support them! Please donate!
