    About this project

    S. Pönisch from Alanouwaly Salifou Sylla Foundation is responsible for this project
Most drinking and washing water in Guinea is neither clean nor safe. During the dry season people have to fetch water from many miles away restricting other essential work.
We want to help improve access to clean water by digging and installing solar wells to improve people's lives and health.

We are working on providing our partners in Boke with a mobile drilling operation to drill wells all over the region. We already have a drilling rig in Germany and we need your support to send it to Guinea. We need to develop the Guinean organisation to do this with the aim for it to be self sustaining.

The UK registered charity: Alanouwaly Salifou Sylla Foundation was formed 6 years ago in London and we are working with our partner organisation registered in Guinea.

We support various projects to improve the lives of the residents of Boke.
Their Community Centre is 2 thirds finished. It will consist of: a meeting place, IT centre with screen to provide education and information, rehearsal space for musicians, jewellery coop and sewing studio.
We are working towards installation of electricity supply and already have Solar equipment and a generator. We have sent a car which the centre uses for affordable transport and as a free emergency vehicle. IKEA Croydon has donated 20 sewing machines and a lot of fabric.

You can help us in many areas:

    Our next steps:
    - to transport the complete drilling equipment inside a Mercedes Sprinter to Guinea
    - train operators in Guinea and provide them with information
    - creation of workshops, warehouse and office
    - to drill the first well and install solar pump.(solar and other equipment will sent from London before end of 2014)
    - We need your help to fill 7 donated office containers to gradually send to Guinea.

We have already collected many useful materials.
Can you donate to help with the cost of:
    their transport,
    consumables,
    materials in Guinea
    employee's pay in Guinea

100% of your donation will go to the project and you can follow all the projects' development online. We will regularly update progress (when Guinea's internet connection allows with photos)

We want to found a german branch of the Alanouwaly Foundation.

With your help we can create opportunities and employment in Guinea to snowball the local development.

We are not only looking for your donations of money but also for your ideas!

We are looking forward to working with you.

Together we can make a big difference.
Are you interested to co-ordinate our various networks to see what we can achieve? Could we find unforeseen potential?

    Maybe we will surprise ourselves!

    Let us try!
