We need your support!
Grace Education Trust is a small non-profit based in India. Its sole focus is to provide an education for street children who normally would not have the opportunity to attend school. Grace Education Trust was started in 2006 by Sister Francis Dass who recognized that the very poorest in society might have the chance of a better life if she could get them to go to school. Her mission was to convince the impoverished parents of these "street beggars" that a free education would be provided to their children if they were allowed to go to school.
Sister Francis opened her school in 2006 where the children are given a free, basic education with an emphasis on English and Mathematics.
Unfortunately, the building is now for sale and the teachers and pupils will have to move out in June 2015. This move undermines the future of Grace Education Trust and the important work it is doing in this community.
We are three sister from Germany who volunteer teaching English to these remarkable children. Everyday we see the joy on their faces as they come to the school to learn, laugh and grow. We would love to see this organization continue the amazing work it does in providing these children with the decent education they so richly deserve.
We are asking for your support. The cost of buying the building and allowing the organization to function independently is 17,000 Euros.
Even if we can't raise the entire amount, any contribution would still be of great help in giving the children and Sister Francis hope for the future of their school.
EVERY LITTLE AMOUNT RAISED IS A BIG STEP TOWARDS OUR GOAL!!
Please, help us in support of this worthwhile project and make it possible for these under-served children to get an education.
We look forward to answering your questions and telling you more about Grace Educational Trust.
Thank you for your help and support.
