MUT-TOUR: on the road together to deal with depression more openly

MUT-TOUR is Germany’s first campaign on wheels, touring the country since 2012 to make a contribution to the destigmatisation of depression: 

 

Until 2016 a total of 126 people with and without depression experiences have been cycling in 41 intervals and sleeping in tents for more than 22.000 kilometers throughout Germany. 

Every two years there are big MUT-TOURS with information desks and chances to join the teams in many cities. Local organisations and institutions from the field of cycling or from the psycho social sector are given the opportunity to present themselves this way. More than 1500 encouraging releases about the project and it’s aim have been published.
Beside the three-month-relay we also organise school workshops and photo exhibitions all over the country to inform and draw attention to the topic. 
 
We want to live in a society where no one needs to be ashamed for mental disorder.
