About this project

More than 250,000 people from Syria and 500,000 from Iraq have fled to the federal region of Kurdistan Iraq for safety and they are in need of immediate help. The devastation to human life is incalculable, and has created the worst refugee crisis in modern history. Iraqi groups and minority populations are at greatest threat by the terrorists and have fled to the Kurdistan region: Christians, Shiites, Turkmens, Yezidi and also many families from the disputed territories.
Many camps have been established for the internal displaced families in Duhok, Erbil, Kirkuk and Diyala all under control of the Kurdistan Region. Unfortunately there is no accurate data on the Internally Displaced. Not all the families have agreed to move into the tents or camps provided, and some areas have no camps set up yet. There has also been an infiltration of displaced families living in derelict or old buildings, in non-furnished houses, and some in shared accommodation, thus making a data collection immensely difficult
