A collective vision of an open community for building, learning and living in radically sustainable ways. We are based in Berlin and connected world-wide.
Mission
To build and connect sustainable communities around the world and to empower people to create the spaces and facilities necessary to express themselves creatively and to be free.
Goals
Now is the time to pull all the social capital together to create a thriving Platform and Community in Germany, Europe and beyond. With the support of this growing movement we hope to:
re-develop an organisational platform for knowledge exchange, project planning and documentation
plan and facilitate hands-on Workshops and learning journeys
produce a documentary film, tutorials, viral PR Material
continue networking with strategic partners
give training to and coordinate volunteers (eg. in disaster areas)
further develop prototypes and holistic space concepts
The Journey
Earthship Biotecture Deutschland was initiated by Alumni of the Earthship Biotecture Academy in 2013. Since then we have been hosting several hands-on learning opportunity and co-facilitated the Earthship Lecture Tour with Michael Reynolds in Berlin and 6 other European cities in Spring 2014. Building opportunities are opening up weekly and we are thrilled to be working closely with the European Earthship Network in Sweden and Portugal. In Berlin we have initiated partnerships with the Prinzessinnengarten, Re:Make, Material Mafia, d.collective, ecopazifico, openstate, open source ecology, id22, Baumhaus. And were invited to DMY International Design Festival and Remake Festival in Berlin as well as to Boom Festival in Portugal - to let people experience the possibilities and benefits of the different elements taken from the Earthship Biotecture concept. Our gratitute goes to all the supporters and beautiful people we have met along the way!
Time and Energy
Just like every human being we can’t be in all places at the same time. Even if we would like to be sometimes. We would like to invite you to become part of this movement by supporting us with your time, creativity, skills and courage to walk the new and exciting paths ahead of us together.
An action oriented mindset and a balance of giving and taking is the key to success in a decentralized and self-organized organism.
Financial support
All the donations will directely and exclusively finance educational projects and purposes.
The tax-exempt association, deople network e.V., registered in Berlin, Germany, is the main funding body and organising institution to oversee financial contribution to educational programs, presentations and exhibitions and offers its network for cross-disciplinary exchange and communication support.
