The Iranian Society for Protection of Children in Heidelberg (Germany) intends to support the Iran-based Society “Center of Cultural Development for Children (CCDC) (Website:www.ccdc.ir)” in their effort for construction of a new cultural center for children and adolescents by monetary donations.
In the village of Abadan, about 25 kilometers from the town of Iranshahr, in Province Sistan-Baluchestan, the administration has provided a piece of land to the Society CCDC upon which presently a small library and a humble reading room are being constructed.
The Society CCDC has already constructed several children and youth centers in the countryside of Iran, such as in provinces of Kurdistan, Mazandaran and Southern Khorasan and is presently operating those centers very successfully.
In such centers the children learn not only reading and writing but also telling stories, singing and even playing theatre. In addition, there are instructions in professional skills and education in protection of nature and environment.
We would like to give those children from the distant Iranian countryside more chances for further training while providing them with better alternatives to spend their free time more productively and by living a life more appropriate for children.
