About this project
1. We will set up a refugee tent in the Dresdner Neustadt to show to Dresden citiziens how refugees have to live for an undetermint time.
2. We will have short films showing the living conditions in a refugee camp and the work of the UN and UNICEF.
3. We will have a talk from political scientist Christian Eichardt. He will talk about the background of the Syrian crisis that lasts for more than three years up until now. In addition he will talk about the current situation in Syria and the living conditions of the refugees. After his talk there will be time for extended discussions.
4. We collected lots of mulit media information material, e.g. an online tour through the Al Za´atari camp in Jordan.
5. Methaphorically we will have a slack line to be used by visitors to get a feeling about how unsecure and unbalanced refugees' future is.
6. We willhave a "whish tree" where little as well as grown up visitors can write or draw what they think about peasce, war etc. and what they whish for themeselves and the world in general. These "whises" will be made public so they are visible to all visitors of the Dresden Neustadt garden.
Eventually we will even have the opportunity to have some UNHRC resettlement refugees that already live in Dresden.
We would be happy if you could support us by donating for the transport costs of the UNHCR tent.
