    About this project

    K. AGOUDZATSE from Christian Association of Development (CAD) is responsible for this project
Engaged in the well-being of children since its inception in 2009, the Christian Association of Development (CAD) has organized two years successively camps and vacation activities for children in Lomé (Togo) in partnership with churches and neighborhoods. These activities, which have reached about 2000 children stopped in 2011 because of financial reasons. Yet the effects were very important and significant in the lives of these children. This year 2014, CAD launches the project "Well-rounded for a CHILD" which is a part of the program devoted to the well-being of children (this program begins in 2014 and extends over 10 years) in 10 villages across maritime and plateau regions of Togo. From August 2014, the first step of the project will take place in 4 villages (Dalia, Lankui, Kovie and Lavie) and the CAD will serve as support to its partner churches in Lomé during their camp (Vacation Bible School).

This initiative is justified by the fact that during the school holidays, many children are left on the street (in the cities), others in the farms (in the villages); most of these children are sometimes engaged in forms of delinquency and it becomes an easy prey to various forms of exploitation which easily compromise their future. Similarly, some children do not have the opportunity to go to school due to financial problems and other reasons. A short school holidays is a time when these kids need attention and monitoring.

With the intention of motivating these children, the CAD offers to reconnect through projects to gather them around various activities like: holidays’ courses, recreational activities such as sports and various games, biblical studies, training them in new technologies, training in small activities and discovery of Togo (mini solidarity trip on a day).

Another component of the project is the identification and the support (from academic year 2014 2015) of the deprived children (a maximum of 30 children for this year) whose families do not have sufficient meaning to support them financially and materially during the school year. And by the end of this first event of the project this year, the CAD is planning to build a leisure activity center for children in one of the selected four villages.

The CAD expects a maximum of 500 children per village and 500 children from our partner churches: 2,500 children in Total will be affected by the project.

Our objective is to make them happy and to give smiles to the children who are vulnerable and remain every day the easy target of various forms of exploitation nowadays. We want to build and mold children who can be ready in any aspect to face their future and that of their country.
Here we present the needs of one village's camp(Dalia). The camp will last a week in August.

We hope that through your support for CAD, this project will start as planned and will do great things for these Children. Let's fight for children right.
