    About this project

Rosemary A. from Dandora Dumpsite Rehabilitation Group (DADREG) is responsible for this project
Many children in Africa run to the streets because their parents are too poor to afford them education. Due to idleness, these children finds there ways into the streets, while others are engaged in the dumpsites looking for food by going through the wastes disposed at the dumpsite.
DADREG is seeking support to help rehabilitate street children and those in the dumpsite by keeping them engaged. Through sports, DADREG hopes to rehabilitate children and young people by keeping them engaged before taking them back to school and vocational institutions where they would get skills to not only make them become competitive in the job market, but also help them create jobs for others. This we hope to reduce the number of children in the streets while also providing these children with hopes that with education, they get be able to support themselves and their families and be people.
DADREG is going to engage these children in sports and taking them to school. To do this, DADREG is requesting support in purchasing balls, holding tournaments for rehabilitated children, purchase of school uniforms, reading and writing materials and shoes to help us send 50 children rehabilitated back to school.
DADREG is also seeking support to help provide vocational skills to 15 young people. These trainings would be in carpentry, tailoring, mechanic, hairdressing, catering and metal work.
