Preserving the Stumpfwaldbahn Ramsen – Protecting Technical History

Stumpfwaldbahn Ramsen e.V.
A project from Stumpfwaldbahn Ramsen e.V. in Ramsen, Germany
For decades, we’ve been passionately preserving a historic narrow-gauge railway in the Stumpfwald as volunteers. But repairs, workshop construction, and track maintenance cost money. Help us protect this one-of-a-kind technical cultural treasure!

About this project

Philipp Forche from Stumpfwaldbahn Ramsen e.V. is responsible for this project
The Stumpfwaldbahn Ramsen e.V. operates a historic narrow-gauge railway in the heart of the Palatinate Forest, run entirely by volunteers. With lovingly restored small locomotives and wagons running on vintage field railway tracks, we offer visitors of all ages an authentic glimpse into a fascinating piece of technical history.

To keep operations running, a wide range of tasks needs to be tackled:
🔧 Building and expanding a new workshop
🛠 Maintaining our locomotives and wagons
🚋 Manufacturing spare parts, such as brake pads
🛤 The extensive upkeep of our railway tracks
⚙ And many other daily tasks involved in running a historic railway

All these projects require funding – for materials, tools, and specialized work we cannot do ourselves.
With your donation, you help us preserve this unique technical heritage – for today’s visitors as well as for future generations.

Every euro counts – thank you for your support!
