🌱 A Student Exchange That Makes a Difference – For Global Food Justice
Hunger has many faces. In Namibia, it is part of everyday life; in Germany, it is often invisible – yet worldwide, it remains one of the most pressing challenges of our time.
Our project, “Planting Futures – Gardens Against Hunger,” brings together students from Namibia and Germany to develop sustainable solutions for SDG 2: Zero Hunger.

What we do:
In June 2025, 20 students and teachers from both countries will come together in Landau. They will work hand in hand in school gardens, visit social institutions, rescue surplus food, learn from solidarity-based farming, and exchange ideas about the causes and consequences of hunger.

Why it matters:
Our partner school in Drimiopsis, Namibia, is located in a region facing significant social challenges. Many students come from very poor families and travel hundreds of kilometers to access education. This exchange offers them new perspectives – on education, food security, and international solidarity.
