Problem Statement
SV Grieben 47, with over 600 members the second-largest sports club in the Stendal district, faces the challenge that the existing grass pitch is heavily used due to intensive training and games, especially in spring and autumn. This leaves noticeable marks on the field. In winter, the pitch is unusable, leading to additional costs for renting an indoor sports hall. These circumstances impair training and playing opportunities, particularly for the five youth teams.
Objective
An artificial turf pitch should provide improved training and competition conditions, allowing for year-round and weather-independent use.

Approach
Planning and Approval
- Creation of a detailed construction and action plan
- Obtaining the necessary permits and funding
Construction Preparation
- Preparation of the construction site on the western outskirts of Grieben
Construction of the Artificial Turf Pitch
- Construction of a small playing field with artificial turf (approx. 48.0 m x 30.0 m)
- Installation of three tartan tracks with safety areas
- Installation of field drainage according to DIN 18035 Part 3
- Equipping with floodlight masts, youth goals, corner flags, ball catch systems, and a wire mesh fence
Completion and Commissioning
- Finalization of construction work and conducting acceptance tests
- Official opening of the artificial turf pitch
