A barrier-free bathroom for the enchanting Lotta! 💚

Lotta has been through so much in her young life - and yet she still laughs. 💚

When you see her radiant face and her shining eyes, it's hard to believe what she's already been through. She has only been regaining her strength for a few weeks now, and her zest for life is returning bit by bit.

Lotta is five years old, a cheerful, curious and incredibly brave girl. Her family - mom, dad and her big sister Greta - love her with all their hearts. Greta in particular admires her little sister: for her strength, her loving nature and her very special sense of humor.

Lotta was born with a very rare genetic defect: GNAO1. Only around 300 children worldwide are affected. The disease brings with it many challenges. Lotta cannot sit on her own, cannot walk and cannot speak. Her body is repeatedly shaken by painful and uncontrollable movements.

Most recently, these movements even led to a fracture in her cervical spine - which is why Lotta currently has to be ventilated. There were severe phases in which she needed emergency medication almost every day and was completely immobile at times. 😕

Despite everything, Lotta never gives up. She is a little fighter - courageous, full of the will to live and surrounded by a family that accompanies her through life with love and hope.

Lotta is entitled to a life with dignity and freedom of movement. The barrier-free conversion of her bathroom at home is not an option, but a necessity - but at over 60,000 euros, it is a considerable investment.
