Basskontakt Free Open Airs

There is a lack of freely accessible, non-commercial cultural venues in Potsdam - especially for young people and the local electronic music scene. Commercial clubs are often expensive or have high entry barriers, while public spaces for alternative formats such as spontaneous open airs are increasingly regulated. This is exactly where we come in. 

We organize free open airs with electronic music, in the middle of Potsdam, in the open air. Without admission, without advertising, without commerce.

Our aim is to create regular spaces where people from Potsdam can meet, dance, network and party together - safely, responsibly and independently. It is particularly important to us to make young local creatives visible and offer them a stage. 

How does that work?
We plan 3 open airs per season (May to September), each with an open, decentralized line-up of Potsdam and Berlin DJs. The events are always free of charge and are realized with a lot of volunteer work, DIY spirit and sustainable aspirations. We take care of the technology, power supply, waste concepts, awareness structures and the necessary permits.

Even if a lot happens voluntarily, there are always costs involved:
