🎹 🎶✨ A Special Instrument for a Special Concert 

What We're Planning
We, the Svapinga Consort ensemble, are passionate about early music and historically informed performance. Original instruments are especially close to our hearts, as their unique sound brings us particularly close to the music of their time. 

Our next program centers around Louise Farrenc (1804–1875) – an extraordinary woman who was highly respected in the 19th century as a composer, pianist, and professor at the Paris Conservatoire. After her death, her music fell into obscurity for many years until it was rediscovered in Germany a few years ago. 

For this concert and a public dress rehearsal featuring her music, we would like to borrow a very special instrument – a fortepiano by J. Blüthner from 1856. Blüthner was a renowned piano maker and entrepreneur who helped shape the sound of an entire era. His grand pianos, like most from that time, had bass strings arranged in parallel (not crossed as in modern pianos). This design focuses not on volume, but on clarity and transparency. The result is a sound that is melodious and powerful – yet never heavy or overloaded. 

But quality instruments come at a price.
The rental, transport, and insurance alone will cost around €4,000, so we're asking for your support.
