We, 17 students from the high-school "Stadtteilschule Am Heidberg", are Very British. Our goal is to travel to England for one week in March 2014, to finally personally meet our British penpals and to get to know the British culture up close. Are you going to support us?
What is Very British?
Very British is our project. The great thing about it is that really everyone, regardless of their financial possibilities, got the possibility to join in and to experience an extraordinary week in England! Furthermore, we the students plan and organise our trip ourselves! We plan: where we go, how we get there, where we sleep, what we do and how we are gonna pay for it.
What do we want?
- to finally meet our penpals personally
- to get into contact with English students
- to discover a foreign country
- to get to know a different culture
- to broaden our horizons
- to find out how other teenagers live
- to build friendships
- to improve our English
- to discover differences/similarities between England and Germany
- to learn how to plan a trip
- to go to England
When does our trip take place and where do we go?
From Sunday 23rd of March till Saturday 29th of March 2014 we will be in York and visit our penpals in Bradford.
What do we hope for from you?
A trip such as ours, unfortunately, costs a lot of money. And although everyone of us has to submit a contribution and we are selling waffles and snacks during school breaks or on school events, most of us can´t pay the full amount needed. For this reason we are looking for people like you who believe in us and want to support our project, so we can have an amazing week in England.
