Ghana Round Table – Stronger Together for Effective Aid
Many people from the Ghanaian community in Hamburg and across Germany are deeply committed to supporting schools, orphanages, and care facilities in Ghana.
They work with heart, determination, and personal initiative – yet they often face the same major challenges:
• high transport costs
• complex and bureaucratic customs procedures
• lack of affordable delivery options to remote areas
• and uncertainty about trustworthy local partners
To address these issues, we launched the Ghana Round Table – a growing network of individuals, initiatives, and organizations who come together to share knowledge, build connections, and find joint solutions.
Together, we ask:
What can be sourced locally – and what truly needs to be shipped?
How can customs and import procedures be handled more smoothly?
Who are reliable partners on the ground?
And how can we use logistics and resources more effectively?

But we don’t stop at strategy – we also provide concrete support:
In places like Jamestown, we support school meals for children whose families cannot afford school fees – often because international fishing fleets have robbed local fishermen of their livelihoods.
Without these meals, many children would have to work instead of going to school.
We also bring school supplies, books, chalkboards, backpacks – and yes, sometimes even a football. 🎒⚽
With your support, we aim to expand this collaborative platform, improve planning and logistics, and ensure that assistance from Germany reaches the people in Ghana who need it most – thoughtfully, efficiently and with trust.
