About this project

Martin Reichstein from Dorfgemeinschaftsverein Römershagen/Döingen e.V. is responsible for this project
In the event of a cardiac arrest, every second counts. It is crucial that help is provided quickly – even before the ambulance arrives. Studies show that the chances of survival increase considerably if a defibrillator is used in the first few minutes. The rapid availability of such a device can therefore save lives!

Numerous public events take place in Römershagen, such as local festivals or the annual Jakobimarkt organized by the women's community. Especially in the warmer months, our playground is a popular destination for families from near and far. Numerous people pass through our village when hiking or cycling. However, there is currently no publicly accessible defibrillator for these visitors or for the residents of our village. We want to change this together with Schützenverein Römershagen!

Together, we are planning to purchase two defibrillators for our village. Why two devices? So that a defibrillator is available at all times, both at events in the Schützenhalle and in the village. We need about 3,250 euros per device, i.e. a total of 6,500 euros. We are dependent on your support here – every donation helps us to achieve our goal!

The devices are to be installed in the village in May and at the Schützenhalle in June. Our aim is to have them ready for use for the village festival on May 1 and the Schützenfest from June 6 to 8 - and of course we hope never to have to use them.
