Das Ungetüm muss weg

Seesportclub Berlin Grünau e.V.
A project from Seesportclub Berlin Grünau e.V. in Berlin, Germany
We want to replace our old W50 crane truck with a modern, electrically powered gantry crane so we can launch our cutter safely and in an environmentally friendly manner. We need €15,000 to finance this, and we appreciate your support.

About this project

Jeannette Jacob from Seesportclub Berlin Grünau e.V. is responsible for this project
In our club, the Seesportclub Berlin Grünau e.V., you can practice sea sports, a maritime multi-sport event whose disciplines are derived from the seamanship training program. Standard sea sports disciplines include rowing and sailing cutters, heaving line throwing, cross-country running, swimming, tying knots on the knot track, and rope climbing. Team spirit and camaraderie play a very important role.

For more than 35 years, our club has been using an old IFA W50 crane truck to lift our "sports equipment," ZK10 cutters, which weigh approximately 1 ton, out of the water and into the water. This always happens in the spring when we launch the boats (launch) and in the fall when we launch them (launch). In total, approximately 6-10 cutters, 3-4 dinghies from the sailing school, and a few mooring boats are moved each time. When the sea sports teams go to regattas, they must bring their boats with them. This adds to the number of slips.

Our old crane is getting on in years. The crane attachment no longer rotates, and it's a gamble every time whether it will even start. Spare parts are hard to come by. Not to mention the environmental impact, such as exhaust fumes. A total loss would have serious consequences for our sport.

We would therefore like to purchase a modern, electrically powered gantry crane, and we are still €15,000 short of funding.

We would be grateful if you could contribute a small amount so that we can continue practicing our sport.
