About this project

Zoe Keldenich from Kindness for Kitties e.V. is responsible for this project
Hati Pati is the name of Hatime's cat rescue sanctuary (“Pati” is Turkish for “paw”) in Bursa, Turkey. Hatime is 53 years old and used to work in the pharmaceutical industry.
Now she looks after over 100 animals, most of them cats. The house has several floors, some cats live upstairs in Hatime's apartment, others are housed in smaller groups in the rooms on the first floor (mainly the cats that are currently still undergoing treatment) or in the rooms in the basement. There is also a large secured garden with several cat houses, which is connected to the largest room in the basement. The largest group of cats lives here and can roam freely in the garden or stay inside.
Hatime recalls that she rescued her first cat at just 7 years old. She mainly looks after the cats in the sanctuary, but also takes care of sick or injured stray cats that need medical treatment and organizes sterilizations of stray cats.
I was able to visit Hatime's cat paradise myself on my trip to Turkey and even helped with some of the treatments.
