Every year, countless stray cats end up in our shelter β injured, sick, and starving. The reason? Uncontrolled reproduction. Without castration, the number of stray cats increases uncontrollably, and our shelter reaches its limits.
Castration not only prevents unwanted offspring, but also helps to prevent great animal suffering:
πΈ Tomcats in danger: During mating season, unneutered tomcats travel long distances and are often run over.
πΈ Diseases spread: Close territorials and mating behavior promote the transmission of deadly diseases such as FIV (Feline AIDS) and FeLV (Feline Leukemia).
πΈ Weak kittens: Many kittens die early from malnutrition or infections. Their mothers are weakened by constant pregnancies.
πΈ Aggression and territorial fights: Unneutered cats fight brutally for territories and mates, leading to serious injuries.
