Therapy Companion Dog Teams: Bringing Comfort and Closeness in Difficult Times
Sometimes, a single glance speaks more than a thousand words. Sometimes, a gentle touch heals more than any medicine. And sometimes, a warm coat of fur provides more comfort than any embrace.
Our therapy companion dogs and their specially trained teams bring exactly that: comfort, closeness, and hope to those who need it most. They visit children in hospices, accompany the seriously ill in palliative care facilities, and provide a sense of security where words fail.
But before a dog and its human can work as a team, they require thorough training – and this is where we need your support!
Your donation helps fund the training of new therapy companion dog teams. The funds are used for:
• Professional training for dogs and handlers
• Specialized training in compassionate interaction with seriously ill individuals
• Deployments in hospices, palliative care units, and children’s hospices
• Ongoing support and further education for the teams
Who benefits from your donation?
Living in hospices or palliative care facilities, whose time is limited, and their families – they all experience moments of joy, peace, and comfort through our therapy dogs. A gentle sniff, a head resting on a lap, a loyal gaze – these are moments that touch the heart and ease fear.
Every donation brings closeness, comfort, and a smile!
Let’s bring hope on four paws together. Every contribution counts – for a touch of warmth in difficult times.
