About this project

Elias Knell from DVBS is responsible for this project
Support accessible information and the preservation of Braille!

The DVBS actively advocates for the equal participation of blind and visually impaired people through the magazine "horus – Marburger Contributions to the Integration of Blind and Visually Impaired People." As a professional journal and discussion forum, "horus" provides information on research, legislation, and current topics related to education, employment, and self-help. The contributions show how blind and visually impaired people manage their everyday lives and the paths that lead to societal integration.

The publication in Braille is especially important as it provides barrier-free access to knowledge, thereby: ✅ Promoting participation in society, ✅ Facilitating the exchange of information about living and working conditions, and ✅ Preserving and further developing Braille as a cultural heritage – especially in the anniversary year of its invention by Louis Braille.

"horus" is published quarterly in Braille, print, and digital formats (HTML, DAISY, Braille file, and more). Published by the DVBS and the blista, each issue focuses on a specific topic.

Help ensure barrier-free information for blind and visually impaired people – support this project!
