Donate to support Architects for Tempelhofer Feld and Arts of the Working Class’s collaboration on a research publication to spotlight the ecological and cultural significance of Tempelhofer Feld as well as the intertwining peripheral topics that shape the social and ecological future of our cities.
Description:
Over the past 30 years, public architecture has evolved rapidly due to globalization and market forces. However, the quality of urban life has often lagged. At the same time, architectural competitions are increasingly shaped by economic, political, and media pressures, while land speculation and demolition affect neighborhoods and the wider city. Architects4THF proposes a shift in perspective, focusing on the peripheral issues around Tempelhof Airport as a basis for urban understanding. This issue will cover questions of sustainability, urban politics, and the evolving role of physical public space in a digital age.
As a volunteer-driven initiative, we rely entirely on donations to remain independent and to raise awareness of this critical issue. Your contribution will directly support the development of our research publication in collaboration with Arts of the Working Class, fostering dialogue and presenting informed perspectives to advocate for the preservation of this unique urban landscape.
