The school food bank project was launched in December 2007 together with the Georg Kurlbaum Foundation. The organisation and finances are managed by Tafel Nürnberger Land e.V. on a voluntary basis.
With appropriate proof, children in 45 schools and support centres in the district of Nürnberger Land and also the children of ‘pick-up parents’ are supported.

- School breakfasts
- School supplies
- School excursions and school trips
- extra tuition for pupils in need who are at risk of not making progress
- Music lessons for particularly gifted children
We want to help ensure that children grow up healthy, educated and able to participate. Everyone should have equal opportunities for personal, cultural, social and educational development. This applies in particular to children and young people.
