Morbus Hodgkin is a malignant disease of the lymphatic system. The Hodgkin lymphoma is a rare disease with just about two to three incidences out of 100.000 people per year and it shows a frequency peak for young adults between the 20th and 30th year of life.

The Hodgkin lymphoma has high curing rates between 80 and 90 percent but this needs consequent treatment by experienced medical stuff.

In germany it's mostly the German Hodgkin Study Group (GHSG) that consequently develops better treatments since 30 years and made a huge contribution to healing chances. This healing chances are the direct results of multiple studies of the GHSG where more than 15.000 patients took part in.

It is not yet fully understood why some patients with Hodgkins lymphoma are not able to be cured. The researchers are struggling to reveal the causes for this problem so that one day they will be able to help everyone with proper treatments. In this case some alternative treatments aer beeing researched to find some reasonable addition to the established therapies.

Recent aims of the GHSG are further optimisation of therapy of all states of Hodgkins lymphoma as well as an improvement of relapse therapy. Thereby it is tried to minimise the side effects wihout losing therapy effectivity.

The donations collected will go directly 100% to the GHSG to help further investigation of the Hodgkins lymphoma and the development of less agressive treatments.
