A playground that restores the joy of children

Do you remember playing on the playground as a child?
The wind in your hair as you slid down the slide, climbing back up and rushing down again because it was so much fun!
Or competing on the swings, seeing who could go the highest? No one wants to miss out on these cherished childhood memories.

At its therapy center for girls affected by sexual violence, the Preda Foundation has a playground where all children can play. However, because trauma therapy, aftercare, and legal support for the children take top priority, the playground has been neglected for so long that only the seesaw is still usable — and barely at that.
This is far from enough to give every child the chance to enjoy sliding, swinging, or carefree playtime.

We want to change that and, with your help, breathe new life into this playground!
We plan to add new equipment: a climbing frame, a new swing, and a seesaw! And what’s a playground without a slide? We also want to add a new carousel.
Thanks to your support, the children will be able to run, slide, and laugh together, reclaiming a piece of their childhood.

That’s why the Preda Foundation and we, Space Lama e.V., are asking for your donation this Christmas!

Space Lama e.V. is an organization that has been supporting minors in the Philippines since 2020, focusing on those who have been sexually exploited, abused, or unlawfully detained.
We work closely with local partner organizations to rescue affected children and youth from sexual violence, provide them with therapeutic care, and pursue legal action against perpetrators.
Additionally, by spreading awareness of our “Space Lama” mascot, we aim to increase visibility and foster awareness of this issue in the Philippines.
