Together for the future of contemporary music education
Dear supporters of QuerKlang,
Berlin's politicians have surprisingly and drastically cut funding for cultural education projects. These cuts hit us as QuerKlang particularly hard and jeopardise our work, which has been making an important contribution to cultural education and cultural diversity in Berlin for years.
What is QuerKlang?
QuerKlang gives all young people access to composed music on the basis of creative, collective work processes that are otherwise often outside their sphere of experience. In collaboration with schools and artists, pupils create their own compositions - a unique project that promotes creativity, team spirit and artistic self-development.
Why do we need your support?
The cutbacks will put our projects to the test in the coming year. Without sufficient funding, we will no longer be able to organise workshops, performances and collaborations. Young people are losing a valuable opportunity to discover music in an innovative and participatory way.
