About this project

We are 33 students from various fields of study, forming the Nepal Team of the Engineers Without Borders Karlsruhe e.V. association. Our project supports the village of Managaun in Nepal, where people sustain themselves through agriculture. Together with our project partner, we are working to provide reliable, year-round access to clean water. More Information
Clean water is indispensable—for daily life, for agriculture, and for long-term development. Our vision is to establish a reliable water supply in Managaun, creating a foundation for better living conditions.
Our goal is to provide the residents of Managaun with year-round access to clean water through collaboration and practical solutions. This will lay the groundwork for a stable water supply that can be utilized by both households and agriculture. Ensuring the longevity and maintainability of the system is a key aim, and after the project's completion, this will be supported by a Water Users Committee and training sessions.
In collaboration with the village community and experienced local partners, we are developing a water system tailored to the specific challenges of the area. We focus on practical solutions and knowledge transfer to enable the system to be operated independently in the long term. Through technical expertise and funding, we aim to support the intrinsic motivation of the village community and together realize an improved water supply.
