Rebuilding of the diving platform in Waldschwimmbad Rastenberg

Our guests desparately wish for having the diving platform back, which had to be demolished years ago. But due to the many necessary technical renovations in the almost 100-year-old public bath, the coffers are empty so we need help.

Our public swimming pool in midst of the forest is a place for relaxation, socialising and fun - not only for the people of Rastenberg, but also for many guests from the surrounding area. In order to make this unique place even more attractive and entertaining, we would like to build a diving platform.
A diving platform was erected early on in the history of the 1925 built Waldschwimmbad, and has been an integral part of the pool ever since.
But over time, the facility began to show its age and at some point no longer met the requirements for safe continued operation.
As renovation could not be financed at the time, it eventually had to be torn down. Since then, the pool has lost this popular attraction.
We have carried out surveys among bathers from near and far, which have shown us that the diving platform is sorely missed.
In the 2024 season, the almost 100-year-old and historic bathing facility remained closed due to technically necessary renovations.
Realising this huge project is a remarkable feat in itself, that was only possible thanks to the tireless commitment and cooperation of our club and the local municipality.
However, this also led to a gaping void in our coffers and we are no longer able to realise any further projects on our own.
Now we try to raise funds for construction work and services relating to the installation of a diving platform.
We hope that we can integrate this work into the ongoing renovation work so that we can celebrate our 100th anniversary with a diving platform in 2025.
