On October 30, 2024, there was a major fire in our kindergarten [1][2][3]. Fortunately, no one was injured, but the material damage is immense.
Our yurt, a beautiful round building with 50 square meters of usable space and all the toys, furniture and materials it contained, burned down completely. The yurt was the center and home of our nature group and was only re-established in 2023 with enormous financial expenditure of over €600,000. The loss of our yurt affects us not only materially, but also emotionally, as the yurt was a very important space as a group room for our children, their educators and our daily interactions.
After the initial shock has passed and we have fought our way through the bureaucracy, we (as a parent-supported, non-profit organization) must continue to look ahead. We have made it our mission to rebuild the yurt as quickly as possible in order to continue to offer our children a safe and creative environment and to be able to give them back their beloved kindergarten home.
To do this, we need all the support we can get!
Discussions with the insurance company are ongoing. However, it will still take some time before a specific insurance sum can be paid out. In the meantime, however, we are faced with the challenge of having to make urgently needed replacement purchases now in order to keep the kindergarten running.
This includes, among other things,

- renting emergency accommodation,
- purchasing replacement educationally important materials and books, and
- other necessary purchases that are indispensable for daily operations.
We are therefore asking for your support with this appeal for donations. Every amount, no matter how small, helps us and the children to have a home again where they can learn, play and develop.
